Recording payments
A ledger of what the club has actually taken.
Tiers state a price; the ledger records that somebody paid it. Record a payment from the Payments page or from a person's own page, saying what it was for, how it arrived, and the date you received it.
- A recurring payment against a tier that renews also records the period it covers, which is what makes “paid up until” answerable.
- “Extend their membership too” is a separate tick, so recording a payment from last March does not quietly move somebody's renewal date.
- Deleting a person or renaming a tier never rewrites a past payment — the names are copied onto it at the time.
- Payments has a per-month chart, and names members who have never appeared in the ledger at all.
